Translation of telegram received on the 16th January, 1928, by Mr. Lau Cheuk-pan from the Ministry of Com- munications through Mr. Leggatt, Superintendent of the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company, Hong Kong.
To Superintendent Lau, Hong Kong.
Your telegram noted. Remittance received. Also
note interruption of telegraph lines and difficulties in
getting funds. The said superintendent is to be retained
in office. He should put things in order with energy,
take steps to restore telegraphic communications and remit
money as received. This is most important.
